The East African Communications Organisation (EACO) is a regional non-profit organization based in Kigali, Rwanda. Our work is guided by a clear and compelling vision to create an integrated, digitally-enabled East African community.

Our Vision: “Access to communication services for all in the East African region.”
Our Mission: To devise and implement ways to achieve fast, reliable, secure, affordable, and efficient communication services within the East African Community. We focus on practical solutions that break down barriers to digital access.
Our Specific Objective
To get all people without a smartphone in Rwanda and the wider EAC community enabled with a connected device as soon as possible. We believe a smartphone is a fundamental tool for modern life, enabling access to financial services (mobile money), healthcare information (e-health), agricultural data (e-agriculture), education (e-learning), and government services (m-governance).
